Medical balance upgrade

This project consisted in the upgrading of the electronic command of a .1 mg accuracy pharmaceutical multi-batch pill-balance. The old system consited in two 3U 19''-rack units, filled with plug-in boards. The 7-segment displays were still old nixie tubes! (You can see those on the first pic, bottom-left)

This is how the early-80's system looked like. You can see the 'beauty' off an authentic all-discrete-TTL logic system.

Update: I could never imagine that I would update this little page 25 years after the balance controller shipped, but I did find some old forgotten photographs of it lying around so here they are in all their out-of-focus glory. Yes, photographs. Prints. Paper. They were taken in February 1999 so I'll hope you'll excuse the potato vision... The cable management is not too shabby though.
