Zenkyo-an (禅居庵) is a sub-temple of Kennin-ji. It is normally not open to the public but on some special occasions, such as zazen (zen meditation). In 2009 it was used as an exhibit space for a famous Japanese potter, the kind which charges a thousand dollars for a single small sake cup! Vases were also presented with ikebana. The temple has a small dry-landscape garden (枯山水) with a persimmon tree.
